With her family, Sandy created the Jerry Kraut Memorial Fund to support the Chicago based Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the search for a cure. Sandy's father, Dr. Jerome R. Kraut, was a beloved pediatrician with a special focus in helping children with Cystic Fibrosis. His own 20+ year struggle with illness never diminished his desire to help his patients.
