THE SUFFRAGETTE'S MURDER

In this 1848 period comedy, the boarders at a vegetarian boarding house in Manhattan ready themselves to pull off an elaborate scheme in the name of the budding women’s movement, only to come face-to-face with the news of the untimely death of one of their fellow suffragists.

The Suffragette's Murder, a comedic play commissioned by Florida Studio Theatre as part of a grant to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the U.S. through the arts, has been selected by the Denver Performing Arts Center for their 2023 Colorado New Play Summit.

“If laughter is the best medicine, then playwright Sandy Rustin has healed countless people.”
